Roll stew meat in flour and shake off excess. Brown meat in a medium sized pan. Remove meat from pan and add just enough water to pan to loosen the cracklings. Return meat to pan with onion and enough water to cover meat. Add the seasoning and cover, simmer for at least 2 hours.

In a separate pan add cold water, potatoes and carrots. Turn heat to high and set timer for 20 minutes. Reduce heat when water boils.

Add 3 tbsp of flour to a medium sizes measuring cup and dribble in cold water as you stir vigorously. Keep adding water until flour is in solution.

Drain potatoes and carrots, but save the water. Mix vegetables and meat together and bring to a slow bubbling boil. Add some of the vegetable water if needed. Drizzle in flour and water mixture while stirring to thicken sauce, being careful not to make the sauce to thick. Simmer for another 20 minutes.

Serve over biscuits.
